A 'proper' winter's day

Back in the 1970's and 1980's as I was growing up, we had cold winters and hot summers, Polar vortexes and 'snow bombs' were not yet invented, neither were storms given pretentious names, it was breezy, blustery or a full on storm.

Friday saw a break in the constant grey and damp weather and reverted to a good old fashioned crisp winter day, bright blue skies with a dusting of frost on anything that was in the way and even a little sunshine.

With Saturday and Sunday forecast to be wet and windy, I was keen to take advantage.

I hope to see more days like this through the winter season, fingers crossed !
