Snapshot Sunday - Sony RX100 mk V
My photographic journey over the years has included a search for the 'perfect camera', a quest sought by many photographers before me and by many more in the future.
I had imagined mine to be a full frame camera with the lenses to match but my 'style'of photography is much more spontaneous than those who are dedicated to a particular genre of photography and perhaps rely on their gear to make a living.
I have owned and loved the images that I have created with Sony, Canon and Nikon full frame cameras and while these may be considered to be the studious and reliable clever elder sibling, I have become more drawn to the cheeky point and shoot younger brother, that may not be as capable but is much more fun to be around.
My penchant for these compact cameras over the last two or three years has developed into a collection of small cameras that in the past I would not have given the time of day but are now a huge part of the photographer I have become.
The 'newest' of my collection is the Sony RX100 mk V, a camera that frequently finds its way into my camera bag on photography days out, or in my work rucksack on a daily bases 'just in case'.
As with most cameras, the Sony allows a lot of scope for tailoring the camera to personal use,
which I have made full use of, the ability to shoot in my now familiar favoured square format is just a couple of button presses away.
The first of this years 'snapshot Sundays' was with the mark V, a gentle stroll along the River Exe and quayside ....
I am looking forward to more snapshot days from this and my other digicams in the coming year, as well as a new series shot with just my 25mm Panasonic F1.4 in the coming months.
