More monochrome

I woke this morning just before six am, something of a lie in compared to my three am workday alarm, with darkness slowly fading, faint traces of sunrise attempted to escape the grey shroud that has long since outstayed its welcome.

As I enjoyed the first brew of the day, that small hope of coloured sky had all but disappeared, another miserable morning then?

Not at all, it was just after seven forty five that I embarked upon another amble around Exeter, travelling light with my Lx100 and olympus EM10, both set to their respective monochrome settings.

My addiction to the monochrome and square format does not appear to be abating any time soon, when life gives you greyscale, shoot mono!

Arriving in town before opening time, there is not too many people around as yet but street shooting for me is more than waiting for an individual to walk into a diagonally shadowed area, it's finding something in the everyday that we perhaps take for granted.

A few images of the everyday then.....

My two favourite shots from today's brief walk would have to be the passer by walking into shot as I take a shot of a pavement puddle, and the abstract selfie reflected in the metal shade of a local bakery.
